Que mucha gente!

Looks like the Latino population will likely hit 50 million or more when the numbers for Census 2010 are released next spring.

That's the intelligent guesstimate of leading Hispanic marketer Felipe Korzenny, head of Florida State University's Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication.

If the Hispanic population is already at 48 million or so, it's not a big leap to 50 million.  If as Korzenny predicts the U.S. population will be at 313 million when the Census 2010 results are announced, that would make Hispanics about 16 percent of the total population or one of every six people.

One of every six people!
